I received my ticket in 1935. John Diblasi signed me up as soon as I had
25 years as a ham. I have heard that I am among the early hams and among
the 100 early birds still alive. in QCWA. Was at W2KW's house and museum
many years ago and sure enuff he had the applications of the earliest
members and there I was. We had meetings once a year in New York and had
a great time. I am now 87 and so far still going strong. Got into the
Signal Corp in WW2 and believe it or not After spending months training
for fixed station operation I went to Europe and never saw a radio in the
Army again. I got caugth in a Motor messenger company they were sending
over and they needed men. Well that was the Army for you.
