[QCWA] Long time members

Hi Gang,

I don't know whether it's still happening or not, but around 30 and 40 years ago
the occupants of 3999 MHz met in person at Colts Neck, NJ, every month, I
believe on the first monday or tuesday of the month. Frank Lester, then W2AMJ,
was there every month, so I had the pleasure of knowing him very well.

Frank is presently living in Venice, FL. He called me on the phone a few months
ago to ask questions about baluns, specifically about the W2DU current balun
that I invented and disclosed  to the ham public in QST. March 1983. He was
having a difficult time hearing me, but his voice was strong, and I recognized
it immediately as Frank.

I also had the pleasure of meeting Art Winter around 40 years ago at a QCWA
dinner meeting in NYC. I met many of the charter members at that meeting,
including Uda Ross, W2UD.

I received my 70 year award three years ago, two to go for my 75th--life with
QCWA members is a hoot!
