Joe....sorry.....the Marines didnt name the road Kokomo Road....
it was there when we got there.  A continuation of the Haiku Road connecting 
with Makawao Road.

If you told the locals there that you were a "Maui Marine" you would be 
welcomed with open arms.

BTW...that was the famous 4th Marine Division whose last action was on Iwo 
Jima.(also Roi-Namur, Saipan and Tinian)
