[QCWA] Mag Mount antennas

I've got a couple of questions regarding mag mount antennas. 

 

Q 1 - What brand and type (NMO or UHF) do you favor as being better?

 

Q 2 - Are there any opinions that one manufacturer is better at the mount
and another at the actual antenna?

 

Q 3 - My experience has been with less expensive mounts and I find that the
coax used is not very well shielded. Are any of the better mounts using
better cable?  If so, from experience, which one(s)?

 

Q 4 - Can a mag mount be "refurbished" by replacing bad, damaged, or poor
quality coax?  If so, what coax would be recommended for a mag mount?
