[QCWA] Recent comments on the reflector

I keep forgetting that one cannot simply hit "reply" to a posting.  I suppose there is a good reason for this.  

Let me try again.  "The days of a lone amateur hunched over in his attic......"  These days may not be over.  During the recent tsunami disaster in the Andaman and Nicobar islands, this is pretty much what took place.  Amateur radio was the only communication mode functioning reliably for quite some time.  Read K4VUD's article in the most recent edition of The DX Magazine.  He was there.

And regarding the antenna restrictions in Culver City, CA, I wonder how many of us would have just put our antennas in the attic and caved in without a fight.
