OK, so what's the issue? The AX.25 spec defines exactly where the callsign
goes, and defines exactly where the bit locations for the SSID go. For
a defined protocol, the governing spec defines the "words" used, and
defines things precisely enough to tell how to separate the 6 characters
of callsign from the 1 character of SSID information.
