The last two QSO parties I have had the honor to use the National
Organization callsign of W2MM. I also was the winner of the two qso parties
prior to that. Why do I bring it up now?

I have noticed a steady decline just in the past two years of participation
in the QCWA QSO party. I can tell you as an active contester that it is very
difficult - usually - to win even your ARRL section in a particular contest
and get a Certificate! Here is the perfect opportunity for you to
participate AND win the contest in the whole country! Looking at prior
winning scores, you have a great opportunity to win even by participating
50% of the time and either on CW or SSB only - it is up to you!

How about it - anybody out there interested enough to keep this QSO party
going? The more people are on the air participating, more non-members will
hear us, call us, and maybe even join the QCWA. It is a win-win for everyone
who participates.

So you say you don't have time to make a serious effort? How about just
getting on for a few hours to exchange 10 or 20 contacts with other chapter
members? Your participation will make a huge difference in how this QSO is
regarded among all amateur operators as a whole, contesters and fellow QCWA
members. Let's show everybody that this is just not an organization of old
guys, who only get on the air to talk about the latest Dr. visit.

73 and hope to see you all on the air for the QCWA Spring QSO party!
