In my memory I seem to remember that the Crosley company also had a pioneer
radio station at about the same time......cant recall the call letters...

Whether or not KDKA was the first broadcast station depends on how you
define "Broadcast Station."
KDKA was in fact the first station to broadcast the same show on a
regular weekly schedule, BUT 8MK in Detroit, the station which later
became WWJ was an earlier broadcaster if you use the definition of a
broadcaster as a station which "Broadcasts" a message to the general
public in return for commercial revenue.
