Nice work Bob, very interesting.
If the white poster at the bottom of the first page is a scan of the
original, the original could be more collectible, as it has a
missing word. It says super channel 20 cycles wide at 1530 kilocycles.
I'm sure they meant 20 kilocycles wide.
Enjoyable reading the history of broadcast and the part Amateurs
played in it's developement.
Somewhere along the way I remember FRC (FCC?) making all new commercial
callsigns for broadcast stations west of Mississippi River start with K
and all east start with W. Also remember clear channel allocations in
KC and Chicago and other large cities. Something eludes my foggy
memory about the station at the University of Wisconsin.
By the way something in Commercial AM broadcasting has snuck up on me,
it is AM stereo. How do they do that? I know how FM stereo works.
Well anyhow this is all very interesting, thanks for putting it in
our website.
