George Lockwood, *KD8RJ ex WA8HRA* became a silent key on Saturday Jan 
30.  He succumbed to a bout with pneumonia at age 76.

He was an EE and inventor with some 15 patents.  Among those the 
invention of a "*memory cell*", a non volatile memory (not dependent on 
being "plugged in").  This was the precurser of todays widely used 
"*flash memory*".  George had a number of interests and was also a 
member of QCWA, Chapter 9..
