Norm,

Just curious, but how did you know that the people buying the gear were
Colombian drug dealers?  Were they wearing signs or badges that
identified them as drug dealers from Colombia?  Like I said, just
curious.

I am well aware of the entire situation....I have been at the Miami
Hamfest 
and seen Colombian and other drug dealers buying amateur radio gear with

huge rolls of money.  These people could care less about FCC type
accepted 
equipment.
Not a case of "besmirching" at all;  I just wanted to give credit to the

boat owners group who have done such a good job.
