FB on your discussion about repeater battery charging and
leadacid types also. Way back I built me a charger that permits
"constant current rate charge" or "voltage limited type charging.
I was'nt too concerned about big lead acid batteries, but the
charger has worked wonderfully when it comes to normal NICADS/
NIMH, 9V, aa, aaa, and gel cells. Constant current rate is my
choice for getting around the shortcoming of cell memory barriers
etc. Example when charging 9v nicads, I use a constant current
charge rate of 10 ma. for 10 to 15 hours. For Gelcels and
large NICADS I usually charge at constant current of 100 ma or
slightly more for like overnight useage.
