Don't be too hard on him, Tim. He is so terribly embarrased now that he may never show up here again. (Hmmmmm...that may not be such a bad thing). Franks & I are friends and we go back and forth at each other all the time. He just goofed and sent that out on the reflector and meant to send it to me personally. If he sends me 37 cents, I'll keep it. Hi Hi.
Really, he's a hell of a nice guy and it was a mistake that the message meant for me got onto the reflector.
Really, he's a good guy and would never bring down anybody. So don't be too hard on him. I laughed my butt off when I read it and saw that it had gone out on the reflector. I knw=ew what he had done.
I forgive him. I think. But only if he sends me 37 cents. Hi Hi
73,

That was so horribly rude and ugly!
I do not know the person, but have you ever considered it may be someone who, due to handicaps or other problems, may find it very difficult to get to a post office or mail box to mail a letter? Or maybe they have no transportation to the post office to get stamps? Or thousands of other possibilities you may not realize?
Not everyone, especially in a group heavy on old timers like on this list, can just jump and run anytime and anywhere they like. Some are confined to wheelchairs, making going to a post office a big ordeal. Some are confined to beds making even going to the mailbox, if they have one, a big ordeal.
Some of us live in neighborhoods where we will put nothing important in our mailbox as it is unlikely to still be there when the mailman/woman checks it.
I personally rarely do anything by mail as the post office has lost so much of my mail over the years, because I do not drive except in a "life or death" emergency, and because the only times I have anyone available to drive for me the post office is normally closed.
Try learning to have a little compassion for others. The world could be a much happier place, you won't be bringing others down and maybe it will make YOU happier in life too.
God Bless You. It sounds like you need it.
