[Qcwa] [Fwd: Old Guys]

Great idea... and furthermore...

Us "old guys" ...

1. They could feed us beans for a day and we could all bend over drop our
trousers and fart... if the enemy can survive the odor, all we have to do is
light a match and blow them up.

2. Only old guy's who have served in combat should be able to start a war,
or be President for that matter. I'm really pissed off at the way our
soldiers are treated. They have to pay for their own lunch in the hospital
when they are wounded!!!!!!!! Sign up, serve your country, but if you get
killed or wounded you are on your own afterwards. What's up with that?

3. Old guy's know shit... they don't just jump into a situation... first you
have a couple of beers and then think about what you are going to do, and
what the ramifications will be. If only old guys were in the military around
the world... there would be no war, we'd just invite the enemy over for a
few beers and a BBQ... make friends not war.

4. If for some reason we do have to go to war or whatever, young guys don't
know a damn thing about women. If you are in a "liberty port" or
whatever.... We may not be able to do it as often as a young guy, but...
damn, we do it better.

5. The Gov't doesn't have to worry about our dental care because most of us
have dentures... (sucks to have a toothache out in the field).

6. Old guys are more pragmatic, if it comes to the point that war is
necessary, I say screw it, pound the enemy into submission, no half-assed
measures. Half-assed measures only kill's our kids.

7. Old guy's know that winning the war is only half the battle, you also
have to win the peace. Gen. Marshall knew that in WW2 and that's why Germany
and Japan are our trade partners and are at peace with us.

8. Old guys know they don't need at 50+lb pack and heavy armor, they just
need a cell phone to call in an air/naval strike. (we can put a cruise
missle up the butt of a mouse if we want to).

9. The gov't is saying "support our troops", but the gov't doesn't do that.
The pay is inadequate, medical care is underfunded, and it's really a hard
life for most servicemen. I am totally dismayed at the real lack of support
of our service men and women. Old guys would not do that.

10. It's late,and I've had a few beers.... please forgive my rambling...

Have a nice weekend

--Tom
