Joe/Jeff......your thread reminds me of one of the features of the old WAR
radio station.

At the rear of the station were two large tables.....one had an assortment
of bugs....Vibroplex, Mac's, Speedex and about every type ever made.  On the
other table were an assortment of typewriters (mills) Underwood, Royal,
Remington etc...

It was customary for many first class operators to go to the rear and pick
up their favorite make of bug and mill to use during their watch.

These were truly professionals...
