"Ben was the instigator behind a successful balloon flight conducted in July
by the Vienna, VA, Wireless Association (VWS), of which he is a member. He
originally conceived of the balloon launch as a high school project, but
found that it was members of the VWS who had the interest and resources
needed to pull it off..."

" The weather balloon and its 2.5 lbs. payload were launched early in the
morning by a team of VWS members from a park-and-ride near Front Royal, VA.
It flew for 2 1/3 hours and reached an altitude of nearly 100,000 feet..."

" Its primary payload included a 1.3 megapixel camera, a Garmin GPS-18
navigation receiver..."

down, the recovery, and plots of telemetry are linked to in the story.
