LADIES AND GENTLEMEN:

I agree with the comments seen so far supporting retention of CW as a
license requirement.

We've "dumbed down" amateur license skills too far as it is.  Again,
it's the John Dewey approach to education applied here: pass everyone!
As a former educator/administrator I've seen all too often the dismal
results of such a sick philosophy.  We're seeing it now in Ham radio.

As a ham for 57 years, an "old fashioned" Extra class, only an
occasional user of CW, and VE  I strongly believe we need to not only
retain CW, but we need to put more "starch" in the fabric of amateur
radio.
