Far as I have noted, the FCC has gone wild completely nuts in some
of their edicts. Few months back they took the bit out of horses
mouth (I mean about allowing as many as 5 or 10 commonly owned
TV or radio Stations in the same city. They are no longer enforceing
previous rules about the primary reason for issueing TV' and radio
stations licenses use to be to serve the public. Now time warner
and the Cable companies are haveing things their way. Our TV
stations here in HNL dont give a second thought to being off the
air for 2 or 3 days at a time, then resumeing without any excuses
or Pardon Me's1!! (Cable was good for them and carried them
during their abscences on the air.) I have never bought a
cell phone nor subscribed to any cable suppliers nor
sattelite services.
New Subject:
Ref foul language being perfectly acceptable in public, on the
air, and in the movies, and who knows maybe in church, I just
heard this on National Public Radio while ago.

In France the word "FARD" means makeup or like a woman
driver applying makeup while driving. The announcer said
"I guess under FCC rules was can use most anything like
"farting around while driveing a vehicle" and I guess
he will be useing the word quite often. So I am gonna
quit "farding" around now on the QCWA reflector and give
everybody a break.
                 Joe (aka kilroy)
