The AMRAD comments on the current "Broadband Power Line (BPL)" field trials
deserve a wider audience, IMO. See the forwarded message below.
BPL systems are also referred to as Power Line Communications (PLC) systems.
There are several versions undergoing field trials. They represent attempts
to exploit AC power line installations to connect home and office users of
broadband digital communications to the Internet.

present, watch the QuickTime video prepared by ARRL's Ed Hare, W1RFI.
