[Qcwa] Pls Lookup for me??

Please someone who has a 1939 or later callbook can you look up for me
the correct call sign for an old friend who died on Omaha Beach in WW2.
His name is Charles Leighton,  and his call starts with
W4GL? or W4GC? .   I thought it was W4GCL but want to be sure.
He and I were the only GI's on the Steam Yacht Florida in 1940.
I remember his personal cw sine was  "CL" but would like to confirm.
We thought we were gonna be RO's on that all civil service crew
permanently.  It was donated to USATS by Vanderbilt himself!
