Something we can *ALL* do that will be a huge help is to Elmer. There are
just not a lot of people today that will take the time to bring a person
along.
Get involved in a club... sponsor some kind of activity that shows off radio
to the public. ARES/E-Comm is a great thing for that. Shows people are more
than
just a bunch of "windbags" talking to each other. There are many people that
would
like to help in whatever way they can, but don't ahve a means to. Emergency
comm
can be just the vehicle to get them interested.

FISTS has a great "code buddy" program that helps people trying to improve
their
CW skills. There is a LOT we can all do that will help bring more people in
to the
hobby, and will elevate the level of people that are here.
