I just received a copy of Electronics 1 Subcourse MM0705.
With a military review date of 1988.
At the top of the table of contents is the notice to disregard any and all
references to a 75% correct score to pass, and instead substitute 70%
instead.
Now, before you start running around shouting about even the military
"dumbing down" the testing. The course materials covered, in great
detail, vacuum tubes. And from the looks of their illustrations, 4, 5, 6
pin and Octal tubes. Things with plate caps. Right out of a 40's vintage
ARLL handbook.
Perhaps the military decided, albeit a bit late, that perhaps vacuum
tube technology wasn't on their highest priority lists for repair persons.
Now, if you're interested in copies of these courses, I have them
available as zipped files. Course 1 is 1.4 Meg, Course 2 is 5.7 Meg.
.
If you're into vacuum tube stuff, these are a 10.
Jeff
PS, which is why I acquired them.
