I too was in the 800th. It was a Signal Training
Regiment. I recall vividly the rhombic field back of
the post theatre and Press Wireless Inc. transmitters,
10 and 40 kW tended by M Sgt. John Barbiaux, a W8.
I was in Co. F, and in FM Radio Repair, High Power
transmitters. My MOS was 648. Circa 1944.
