PS What ever happened to freedom of speech and the rights of individual
property owners anyway?
My thoughts:
*Some folks don't want to live next door to the irresponsible and
insensitive.
Maybe we should sick the ACLU on the FCC.
Larry (W0AIB)
*If so, they should purchase the property next door.
Assume the neighbor loves the color salmon pink. He / She decides to paint
his house this color. You and I might agree this is a dreadful color but
where do we get off telling the owners of the property they can't paint the
house whatever color they want? You or I can't stand another second of
looking at this house what can we do? We can buy the property or pay off
the neighbor. Maybe offer to help repaint it as long as it's not salmon
pink. Too many folks (Again, just my opinion) think their outta be a law.
How many do we have / need? Now let's take that a step further. You and I
might think an antenna on the roof is a wonderful thing. The neighbors
don't think you "need" one. There are more of them then there are of you.
They decided there outta be a law. Not only don't you need an Antenna but
you don't need a Boat or a mobile home. At least not one they can see. I
keep asking myself who pays the bills at this property? The neighbors? I
tend the owner of a property should have the lions share of the rights but
that's just my two cents worth. BTW I say this as our little town of Prior
Lake is being covered in Stepford Wives type houses. Everyone one of them
is exactly the same and there are no antennas, ourside parking or really
anything allowed that would make a property individual. <sigh>- de Jay W0VNE
p.s. they all have streets that go loopy lou and have the same names
crossing each other. Sheesh!
