The repeater scenario, BOTH parties are responsible, but for different
things. The person accessing the repeater with a hand held is responsible
for the transmission from the hand held. The owner of the repeater is
responsible for the repeater transmissions.

Echo Link operation is no different than running a phone patch. You're
still responsible for what goes out on your equipment.

By the way, it's a common misconception about call signs. The call sign
assigned by the FCC is for your station. The license issued by the FCC
give you the authority to operate said station.

Most people would say, "Hi, I'm WA6FWI." Although, technically, it
should be, "Hi, I'm Jeff, I'm the license holder for WA6FWI."

The correct usage would be similar to field day. Where ALL the stations
are operated under one license and call sign. Not like most "club stations",
that do not have a specific club call sign, where everyone uses their own
call sign.
