Hi -

The local radio station at Ketchikan Alaska (c.a. 1960 - 1962) had two
BC-610s for their transmitters. One of them used to spit out spurs all
over - especially on 2182 kcs (maritime distress and calling) and the Coast
Guard would call them up and chew out the engineer until he got the thing
retuned.

We had a BC-610 for a ham rig at CG Base Ketchikan, but I never finished
putting it together before I got transferred home. Man! I wanted to light
that one off sooooo bad!
