Damn...

I only spent a little time with Tripp at Mike's Corn Crib but seldom met 
a friendlier ham and that is saying something.  Avid contester and POTA 
fan, this is so sad...

Please everyone be careful with your antenna deployment, evaluate your 
environment thoroughly for power lines, it doesn't matter if they are 
7200 V utility primaries or 120/240 V house drops...and also don't be 
anywhere near antennas when lightning is active no matter how badly you 
want to stay on the air.  Having narrowly escaped electrocution this way 
myself I can say it happens when you don't expect it...EXACTLY because 
you weren't expecting it. These events should not have to happen to anyone.

My sympathies go out to his friends and family, you don't know how long 
you have in this world, but we can appreciate the life Tripp had and the 
enthusiasm and happiness he showed to us.  Thank you Tripp!
