Comments:
It was a weekend of low band excitement - really had a blast with the UFB
conditions on 80/160 - especially on Saturday night.
I haven't operated from home in this one since 2016 so it was nice to experience
that again. It was a late decision to operate from home so I wound up scrambling
a bit Friday afternoon to get the station laid out.
In addition to the great low bands, 20M was in super shape with great runs,
especially to EU on Saturday. Nice to work some good Asian mults on 20M late on
Sunday.
Band summary:
10M - nothing on Saturday but a solid opening to the south on Sunday kept the
contest entertaining.
15M - a few spotty EU QSOs on Saturday with a few more areas mixed in on Sunday.
Nice to be called by VP8NO, LA and OH in the mid afternoon on Sunday.
20M - money band for sure - great overall propagation but not much going on at
night.
40M - another big band - great EU runs and nice to work JAs as early as 04:30Z
on Friday night. Biggest kick was getting called by local friend and mentor
AA4NC at TX4N.
80M - Great rate for 80 and really strong EU sigs both nights and even for
another hour or so Sunday night. Nice to work a few JAs Saturday morning.
160M - Running EU on 160 is exciting.
