My TS-590S is a sick puppy. Got burned by stray RF in WW so brought it home.
Strangely it receives fine. Transmit to dummy load is almost zero (about
1-2W on 160 and 80). Can be pushed to near normal on higher bands if the
carrier control is advanced beyond normal drive, which is what we did as the
mult radio at VP5M.
The fix on K3's is simple and well documented. Anyone know of a similar fix
for the Kenwood?
If not, what about recommendations for repair shop?
Being a low value radio I'm hoping the TS-590S isn't in the same category as
a toasted TV, toaster or microwave that's cheaper to replace than repair-or
sell to an SWL!
All advice appreciated.

Jim, K4QPL
