My experience is much like Mark's, only less computers.
I updated our Dell laptop running win7 pro 32 bit, it has 160 Gig drive,
with about 40 gig left now. It went very smooth and I did it wirelessly
downloading executable to a thumb drive it took just a short while
to answer all the leading questions. When it came up and said the computer
will shut off and reboot several times I just left it go and went to
breakfast with
my OCRA group at Bo's and two hours later it was done. So far I'm pleasantly
surprised the only stumbling I'm doing is on the new Windows edge.

So far I've updated 2 laptops and one win8.1 tablet. I did disk image
backups first.
I went to windows update which seemed to show the update was possible before
the
Win10 app showed this. None of these are used for ham radio as I was
unwilling to
chance messing up all the sound cards and comports. I have so far seen no
issues.
I did lose the preview icons on the desktop (just a black 'hole' where
normally the
first page of a PDF would normally be) but these were re established after a
reboot.
Took a couple hours of which much was used for downloading as not all
devices
had network visibility of each other to grab downloaded files stored
locally. Updates
one from Win7 64 home, one win7 pro 32 bit and the tablet was win 8.1 with
Bing
which is the cheapie windows for tablets. Only four more to go!
I have been running windows 10 tech preview for the CW/RTTY skimmer for
several
months on a separate machine with few issues (usually related to display
issues when
using TeamViewer remotely) during that time.
Each device had lots of free disk space except the tablet, which uses
Wimboot
and only has a 32GB drive.
Will do the shack computers after the SCC RTTY test at month end.
