 Comments:

Using a truly “wet noodle” this time…water streaming down the insulated
jacket the whole weekend from all the rain.

Friday night was disappointing…most contacts required multiple repeats. I
was hoping it was only due to the high noise levels and not the “wet
noodle”. Saturday evening was much better, and I was able to do a few
short runs. I even managed to tick-off a few of the “farmers” at 2.5 kHz
away from their beloved frequency. They at least apologized for having
inferior selective radios!

The 2 countries (C6 and HK) were weak Saturday evening, but they heard me
on the first call. The only other countries heard were CT3 and KP4. I did
not stay up for European sunrise, so do not know what may have been heard
from here in NC.

K3/100 and Heil HC4

Wet Noodle = 200 ft inverted-L (70 ft vertical, with remainder sloping down
through trees toward ground) with four 1/8 WL raised (4-8 ft) radials.

73,

Henry - K4TMC
