Some really interesting stuff. 

SS results in the 1960's reported the rig used by the section winners.

For example W4KFC. beat everybody with an end fed 80, 40M GP and 3EL on 
20,15 for antennas.
An important part of the rig description apparently was whether or not a 
VFO was used.

Unfortunately, the "text" doesn't appear searchable with the PDF search 
capability.  Not unexpected.
