Rich,

I met Rowland, K4XD at the Dayton contest dinner this year. Even though
he has been licensed for less than 2 years, he seemed very interested in
contesting and obviously he has some contesting talent judging by his
scores. I have invited him to come to PVRCNC meetings and join up, but
so far no joy. I passed his info. along to K4QPL who has contacted him
as well. He's a good candidate and I hope he will join at some point.
He's an interesting individual. He is the webmaster for the Allman
Brothers Band. We share a common love of their music as well as
contesting.

Anyone down in NC know K4XD?  He put in close to 100,000 in score on
3830, but no club affiliation?  His qrz.com profile says he's in Cary
which puts him squarely in PVRC-NC territory.

So far, about 50 logs and over 5,000,000 points.  We're still missing
some big station entries, but we're still only 12 hours after the
contest ended....
