[PVRCNC] Morse code still lives...

The FCC may be contemplating whether or not Morse code is significant, but the television industry still realizes it's benefits. The new CBS drama series Jericho chronicles the events that occur in a small town in Colorado after an apparent nuclear attack on Denver.

It looked like the image of Ham Radio was off to a bad start in the pilot episode last week when the resident Ham was portrayed as an eccentric, but this week a trustworthy Yaesu "FT101F" transceiver was used to copy a Morse message that led to the discovery that several other American cities have also been attacked.

Just when it looked good for Ham Radio, they used Rat Shack CB radios for the Sheriff's communications system!

Of course, if the small town is as far behind as they would like us to believe, maybe the Sheriff's department did actually use CB radios.

At any rate...

Long live CW
