Henry, W2DZO, chairman of PVRC-NC West and Jim, K4QPL, chairman of PVRC-NC
East, are sponsoring the "Chairman's Challenge" for PVRC Members in North
Carolina.

See the Sweepstakes announcement on page 103 of the October, 2006, QST. ARRL
offers a commemorative pin called "Participated In November Sweepstakes"
(PINS) for anyone sending in a log with at least 100 QSO's.

To show how serious Henry and Jim are about SS this year, they will pay for
5 PINS each (5 phone and 5 cw). Here's how to make these tightwads open
their wallets:

If you did not send in a log in 2005, in either mode, you are in the first
priority list. Just qualify for a PINS and stake your claim when you submit
your log to PVRC.

If you did send in a log in 2005, but made less than 100 QSO's in either
mode, you are in the second priority list. Just make at least 100 QSO's in
the other mode and stake your claim.

If you did not make at least 100 QSO's in 2005 in BOTH phone and cw, you are
in the third priority list. Tell us if you make at least 100 QSO's in both
phone and cw.

If there are more qualified entrants than PINS, names will be drawn until
all PINS have been awarded for both modes.

If any qualifier makes at least 100 QSO's AND makes a sweep, we'll dig a bit
deeper and upgrade your award to a "Clean Sweep" mug.

And for those of you who made at least 100 QSO's in both modes last year,
Congratulations and please do it again! (Virtue is its own reward).

This challenge is only for PVRC members whose exchange shows "NC" as the
section. For you guys in DEL, MDC, VA AND WV, ask the chairmen in your
section to join in the fun as well!
