[PVRCNC] PVRCNC EAST August Meeting...This Thursday 6pm

Don't forget that this Thursday, August 3rd, is the monthly gathering of the 
NC PVRC-East folks.  We meet at:

Manchesters Bar and Grill  (9109 Leesville Road, Raleigh  27613). Gather as 
early as you want for 6 p.m. Manchesters is in the Pinecrest Shopping Center 
which is 0.8 miles south on Leesville from the Leesville Road exit of I-540.

Hope you can make it!  No official program is slated so that all will have 
time to chat and catch up.  Jack has a fun paper contest in store...please see 
his note below.

August Program & Paper Contest Announcement

 

August Program:

Eyeball Socialization - An exercise with group participation, “hopefully” by 
all in attendance…

 

August Paper Contest:

 

“Search & Pounce”  

 

Contest participants read clues – search for the most appropriate response 
and if you “think” your choice is correct “Pounce on it”.

 

Something different this coming month – a take off on popular kids puzzles – 
find the hidden words and match clues with the “most correct” answer 
choices.  There will be a total of 28 Contest Qs all related to general ham radio 
knowledge.  As always, the first Paper Contest Log submitted with highest number 
of correct Qs will take home the August PVRC NC East August Paper Contest 
Prize.  Contest Rules:  Each correct Q Response = 1 Point…  No Dupes allowed… 
 This contest includes two Mults in case of a tie…

 

Brush up on things we all should know already…
