[PVRCNC] Laptop display for outdoors?

Guys,

I keep seeing the ads where the busy bee worker is using his laptop 
outdoors.   Presumably he is able to read the display.  Alternatively, 
  the ads are a farce.

Are there really any laptops which have displays of sufficient 
brightness for outdoor use?

My experience (dated for sure) indicates no.

Would appreciate what first hand experience you guys have.  What 
models really can be used outdoors?
