[PVRCNC] Heil and Icom

I'll be guest op with W0UCE who has Icom radios. Trying to get organized for
SS phone. I use a Heil headset with DX mic element and started wiring an
adapter. Looking at the 756 ProII manual it gives the microphone pinouts and
then has a comment on the side, "NOTE: DC voltage is applied to pin 1 for
microphone operation. Take care when using a non-Icom microphone."

What sort of care must I take?? Is there a chance it will damage my Heil
Microphone? Any suggestions or experience on this? I sure don't want to use
an Icom hand held for the contest.
