[PVRCNC] alternate meeting location for NC East

Jeff's got a point. Like, Jeff, I've also been a regular. While there is
some value of having a regular hangout, I could count on one hand the number
of totally unexpected visitors who have shown up over the years. They get
the info from somewhere and if we put out the meeting info on our web site
and both the pvrcnc and pvrc reflectors, surely we would cover it.
What we need is to make the meetings fun again and GC has lost that lovin'
feelin, and it's gone, gone..... sorry we were talking about places. Anyhow,
I think any location gets stale after a while and that loudspeaker at GC is
the pits. After all, it's the informal BS that makes the meetings IMHO and
an 807 or two would not go amiss. March madness may not be the time to
negotiate, but some of the sports pubs have separate areas and we could
probably turn off a TV and have a good meeting. If we settled for pizza,
burgers or other lighter fare we probably would spend little more than the
buffet at GC which ends up at about $13 with a soft drink and tip.
Let's all keep our eyes open for sites that meet as many of Guy's criteria
as possible and try them out.
Tom, I haven't been to Atlanta Bread, but sounds interesting to me.
73,
Jim, K4QPL

a successful meeting location but that's another issue. My only point
was/is that it might be nice to have a different location to meet at from
time to time...to pick up those who desire a different location and those
who don't want to travel so far south, etc... I was not suggesting a
permanent location change but something more like a quarterly or semi-annual
change of pace/location meeting.

attender as anyone and from my recollection, the last year or more has seen
more like 6 to 9 on average with no need for a power point at the
PCRCNC-East meetings.

welcome any other ideas. This was merely one.
