Well, being half-way to being a member of the PVRC-NC, I now feel like
asking a few questions, and offering my perspective on whatever.
First, let me say I had a great time at the combined meeting last night, and
even got home before midnight! It was super to meet the rest of you who were
there, and I look forward to many more.
Secondly, I really look forward to taking advantage of the contacts made to
improve my shack - Robert and Pete - we need to talk!
And finally - for now - I'd be interested in finding out what most of you
are using for the following:
computer logging: - I use N1MM, with Logger32 for general logging. I've
been looking at TRLog and have downloaded the free trial version, but am not
very comfortable with it, except that it
will run fine on the old 486SX I had laying around, and that it is
"supposed" to be the cat's meow
for SO2R.....
80 & 160M antennas: Half-sloper for 80, nothing on 160 right now; working on
a Battle Creek Special loaded Inverted-L until I can get up an aluminum
loaded vertical
As an almost-postscript, I received my 240V Variac while at the meeting last
night, so will hopefully have my new/old Heath SB-1000 amp up and running
this weekend.
