Hello,

I just recently had my tower and beam up and now I'm trying to get
the PL259s on the coax and I'm getting high SWR on transmitting.

I have noticed that the ohms were very high (100k+) when testing the
PL259 connections by touching the center connector and the outer
shell of the PL259 with a multimeter. It appears that the solder is
going in the 4 holes to the coax wire braid though.

I'm not sure why some are giving me trouble, cuz the first one worked
well. I just have 3 more to go. :-)

Is there anyone near the Pittsboro area that can help me get these
PL259s soldered?

I'm doing the solering inside too. At first I tried it outside and
the solder wasn't flowing well enough to work.

I'm using a 100 watt soldering gun and 60/40 solder with silver
PL259s. I've used this before equipment with different coax (213)
and it has always worked well. I'm using the 9913F7 coax now.

Tnx!
