Yeah, I noticed that too. Then I thought about it some more and remembered
when I first got back into contesting after 20 years QRT. I would listen to
the QRQ run station for several qso's, get his exchange and the number
sequence. Then when I called in and he came back I pretty well had the
exchange prepared to QSL.

That's probably what a lot of the casual guys are doing. I also noticed a
lot of Florida and Arizona calls so maybe there were some retirees who could
still copy like the old days but the coordination for a paddle was gone and
they were back to pounding brass.
