Subject: Fwd: [PVRC] 59 For Holiday Dinner on 12/8/03
I am forwarding this to you as an in-area member with an e-mail address,
because I recently became aware that less than half of you subscribe to the
pvrc e-mail reflector, and because I did not mention the holiday dinner in
the December Newsletter. If you want to attend, please e-mail [email protected]
as soon as possible to reserve a seat. If this is redundant, I apologize,
but I thought it was better to send a redundant message than to miss
someone who wanted to attend.
73, Pete N4ZR

>
>
>RESTAURANT:
>The Dinner this year will be held at Anita's Mexican Restaurant in Vienna,
>VA, not far from the Olive Garden where we normally get together. The
>Olive Garden is closed for renovation, and Anita's is an interesting
>alternative. We held the October Central meeting there in the private
>room upstairs, which will seat 68 people, or perhaps more if needed.
>As before, we will order individually from the menu, which is diverse and
>interesting, and moderate in price. Separate checks.
>
>TIME:
>The room will be available at 6 PM, and dinner is planned for 7 PM.
>We expect to finish around 9:30.
>
>

>DIRECTIONS:
>
>The address is 521 East Maple Avenue, Vienna, V\A (703-255 1001).
>There are two Anita's in Vienna. We are going to the "New Anita's," a two
>story structure with a large Neon Sign. From Tysons Corner, Route 7,
>turn south on Route 123, go about 1.4 miles to Anita's on the left. There is
>plenty of parking. We will be in the upstairs room.
>
>UPDATE Topics
>
>Some have reminded me of the preference that most of us and our guests have
>for a No Smoking environment for the dinner. I would ask the smokers to
>respect that request in the dining area.
>
>There is a separate upstairs room for smoking customers that will be
>dedicated for us if needed for our dinner. If you wish to eat in the
>snoking room,
>please let me know that preference.
>
>The main room we are using seats 68 people. In case we overflow, there are
>tables available to us to seat 11 more of our people along a balcony railing
>overlooking the 1st floor dining area. The balcony is a pleasant dining
>area.
>So, if needed, we can handle a dinner party of 79 people, with those on the
>balcony joining us in the other room for the program after the meal. Use
>of the
>"smoking room" is also possible is needed.
