With 40M obviously licked I would suggest serious consideration of a K6NA style wire yagi for 80M. In Glen's Compendium article (I think it's #5, the one with the green, yellow and black cover) he modeled a version of his wire yagi configured as a pair of Inv-Vees. Apex at about 130-125 feet, 90 degree included angle. With this configuration you only need one support. Gain was within a fraction of horizontal, pattern suffered a slight bit but looked FB and I bet you'd never notice. There are a number of guys with 3L 80M rotatables in California, and Glen's wire beam keeps up with all of them (except perhaps Dave Ferraro who bought a mountain top for his and has it at a couple hundred feet).

Just a thought for more fun with wire at Howie's.

Nice to hear many of you in CQP this weekend. Tallied about 4900 QSOs at N6O running M/M with 6 ops, 4 fulltime. Low bands are clearly coming back, but 10M suffered compared to last year.
