Tom,

It is not possible to do any sort of trunking from the 2006/OS456.

You could add a discriminator tap to the 2006, get a dataslicer and
run "Trunker" to watch a trunk system.  I am talking about the fantastic
DOS program by Neal Fildes which you can get for free from the
http://www.radioreference.com website. I have never run "Trunker DM".,
so I can't say much on it. I do run Trunker from time to time off of the
2006. I added a discriminator tap and used the tape out jack for it, since
I never used it for recording.  That is as close as you can come to 
trunking with
the 2006.
