 Len , thanks , I have an update.......Looked at the DIP SWITCH settiings on the Opto and saw it was NOT orginal so I set it to the suggested dip # 4 to on , all the rest off for the 9600 SUGGESTED baud rate and that did in fact set it to 9600 baud....ok back to the squelch. When I 1st go into Probe (I use 7.0) I can now start scanning - still no squelch BUT I can hit frequencies (f key in Probe I'm sure you know) and I get squelch , then if I hit escape (to go back into scanning of course) with the squelch all the way down , it will work fine. Any IDEAS ANYBODY ? Must be a setting on the DIPS on SW2 on the board or SW1 ?? Or does anyone know how I can maybe adjust the squelch ?
