Hi Gary. I know what you mean about slow. I had an AOR 2002, it was so
slow you could almost scan faster by typing the freqs in the keyboard one
at a time and pressing enter. I assume the slow problem is the CPU's
limited capabilities and the time for the PLL to lock. Bill Cheek's books
really got into hacking scanners to make then get up and sing.
Unfortunately some of his cell/pager hacks got the attention of the
authorities and they weren't very amused. Ken
