  Its an easy enough Job, be advised that some later models had an on off 
feature instead of the dimmer if I remember correctly. If I am not right, no 
biggy as a Backlight can be ordered from RS for about 33 bucks.. Just be 
mindful of the lcd when removing the old one and inserting the new..
