Hello Nick,

apart from the missing top lid, there are a couple of other factors you 
need to take into consideration:

* does your 8711 have the preselector-board installed ? [y/n]

* have the capacitors on the power supply board being serviced ? [y/n]

I worked on two of these Rx.

* where is the location of the receiver, Italy I presume ?

Some buyers are willing to travel to meet you at HamRadio/Marzaglia for 
example, so it is good to know where the Rx is currently located.

* are you willing to ship the receiver ? [y/n]

Given its depth not a easy task to find suitable transportation boxes !

I know that from own experience after shipping two HF-1000, which have 
identical dimensions.
