I started the process of compiling information on the internal
variations of Watkins-Johnson superb line of now discontinued DSP
receivers.  After the first version, a BlackRadios reader suggested the
excellent idea of adding printed circuit board numbers to what just was
a WJ-8711 family EPROM index.   This has been done and the current list
will be maintained on my Watkins-Johnson website.  You can download it here:

Input from other owners would be great.  Despite these radios mostly
looking the same, there are subtle variations that typically come with
products built to customer order.

The processor firmware number is flashed on the front panel during boot up.

If you are willing to open your radio, in the WJ-8710, WJ-8711, WJ-8712
& WJ-8723, the processor number can be read off U1 and the DSP chip
number can be read off U37.

The firmware numbers can also be read off the paper tags on U12 and U56.

The circuit board numbers are usually on the top of the circuit board
near an edge.  They typically start with 14632ASSYxxxxxx, with 14632
being the CAGE code number for WJ as a government contractor.

Thanks you in advance for anyone who takes the time to help.
